AIM Market Roundup: Minoan Group, Invinity Energy, Thor Exploration

It may have been a day of promising gains for the AIM All Share but losses since the middle of last week still sit around the 7% mark. The big unknown is what gambit Trump will try next but for today, the index added almost 17 points to reach the bell at 641.3.

  • Minoan Group +68%
  • Invinity Energy +21%
  • Thor Exploration +17%
  • Celadon Pharmaceuticals -43%
  • Belluscura -34%

Minoan Group LON:MIN was the biggest riser on AIM today, up 68%. The company announced last week that financing problems meant its shares were likely to be suspended from the end of the month but today an AGM has been called which appears to have generated some support. A very wide spread was however being quoted at the close.

Invinity Energy LON:IES was in second place, 21% higher. There’s no fresh news out but the stock has been gaining momentum since the publication of a well received trading update at the start of the month. The potential of UK centric work may be lending more support here.

Thor Exploration [LON:THX] gets the notable mention, up 17% following the publication of results and news of a maiden dividend with a payout policy that will be applied for at least the next two years. The outlook also pointed to an increase of as much as 10% in gold production for next year.

Celadon Pharmaceuticals LON:CEL is back on the list, down a further 43% on the day and reverting back to the price seen a week ago. This afternoon it was announced that the company would terminate a credit facility it had arranged, which will see charges over assets removed but this still leaves the delisting on the table.

Belluscura LON:BELL also struggled after an update this morning saw the company removing guidance in the wake of the deteriorating global trade situation. The business manufactures in China and sells to the US and rightly needs more clarity over the situation here. Shares finished down 34%, with losses at one point exceeding 50%.
