The Dubai index finished Tuesday’s session little closed, but sentiment was more upbeat in neighbouring Abi Dhabi where the benchmark equity basket added 0.4%.
- Apex Investment +12.3%
- Spinneys +6.1%
- National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain -1.8%
Apex Investment put in yet another bumper performance on Tuesday, extending that recent run of gains by a further 12.3%. The JV that had been signed with Enercap now appears to have been extended in scope, coinciding with this latest round of support. Volumes remained significantly higher than recent averages for a third day running.
Spinneys Holdings was in second place, up 6.1% on the day. There’s no news out from the company, but the number of orders placed on exchange was sharply higher than we have seen of late.
National Bank of Um Al Qaiwain was the biggest faller, off 1.8% on the day. There’s seemingly no fresh news in circulation here, but the stock did see significantly higher than normal levels of interest.
