CFD and stock broker Saxo Bank has launched a new user-friendly, competitively-priced investment platform designed specifically for the growing community of buy-and-hold and active investors in the UK. Called SaxoInvestor, it provides one place where investors can invest in almost everything such as stocks, ETFs, bonds and mutual funds.
Saxo Bank currently provides customers with access to over 70,000 instruments globally; it says it has experienced significant growth in its investor base over the last 12 months, with a 38% increase in active investors.

Notably, the platform has seen a 20% rise in female investors during this period. Younger investors are also on the rise, with a 46% increase among those aged 21-30 and a 24% increase in the 31-40 age group, highlighting Saxo’s growing appeal across diverse demographics.
Saxo UK says it is responding to the growing trend of buy-and-hold investors in the UK, particularly those holding stocks and shares ISAs. With high inflation continuing to impact returns, investment platforms with competitive pricing are becoming increasingly attractive.
All your investments in one place
SaxoInvestor offers investors a user-friendly interface to consolidate all their investments in one place. With low commissions and foreign exchange fees at just 0.25%, investors can trade at their convenience, taking advantage of extended trading hours.
The multicurrency account allows for seamless management of multiple currencies, while idle funds can earn interest. Investors can access expert insights and investment themes to guide their strategy, and maximise tax-efficient savings by holding all these benefits within an ISA.
The platform is built on the same robust technology as the group’s other platforms, SaxoTraderGO and SaxoTraderPRO, but offers a simplified interface designed to meet the needs of the typical investor. All Saxo Direct clients will continue to enjoy the same pricing, features such as the screener tool or the ability to create watchlists, and access the in-depth analysis they are familiar with—just within a more streamlined, user-friendly design.
Additionally, clients can seamlessly switch between SaxoInvestor and SaxoTraderGO, with SaxoInvestor catering to non-leveraged investments, unlike SaxoTraderGO.
Zero commission on most popular US stocks
As part of this launch, Saxo is offering $0 commissions on 100 of the most popular U.S. stocks from October 1st to December 31st across all its platforms, in anticipation of the U.S. election. Investors can access curated stock shortlists tailored to likely election scenarios, offering a strategic opportunity to diversify portfolios and reduce risk.
Andrew Bresler, CEO at Saxo UK, told us: “Saxo prides itself on empowering investors to take control of their financial futures and unlock new wealth-creation opportunities. With this new user-friendly platform, SaxoInvestor delivers top-tier insights and diverse investment themes, levelling the playing field for investors of all backgrounds.”
Since introducing pricing cuts in January and for mutual funds last year, Saxo has been focused on attracting investor clients. The launch of SaxoInvestor in the UK marks a significant milestone for the broker. With its simplified, user-friendly interface, the platform makes it easy for anyone to access financial markets and take control of their financial future.
