American Eagle Gold TSXV:AE has announced a string of strong drill results from its NAK copper-gold porphyry project in central British Columbia, including the highest-grade intercepts ever recorded on the property.
The results, which extend mineralisation both laterally and at depth, mark a significant step forward for the company as it seeks to establish NAK as one of Canada’s most promising new copper-gold systems.

The highlight came from hole NAK25-48, which returned 77 metres grading 1.78 per cent copper equivalent (CuEq) within a broader 140-metre interval of 1.23 per cent CuEq, starting from surface. The intercept sits within 813 metres of 0.41 per cent CuEq overall. Copper alone in the high-grade zone averaged 1.21 per cent.
A second hole, NAK25-49, intersected 115 metres of 0.93 per cent CuEq within 454 metres of 0.45 per cent CuEq from surface, confirming a thick zone of near-surface mineralisation. Together with hole NAK25-46, which cut 482 metres grading 0.51 per cent CuEq and ended in 96 metres of 0.9 per cent CuEq, the results demonstrate growing continuity of high-grade mineralisation at depth.
Expansion of the South Zone
The latest drilling has also expanded the South Zone — the most advanced area of the project — by roughly 200 metres to the south, 250 metres east, and to a depth exceeding 800 metres. The zone remains open in all directions.
Earlier work this season had already extended the South Zone’s footprint to the west and south. The new results, particularly from NAK25-46 and NAK25-48, have added significant breadth and depth, linking high-grade intercepts from recent campaigns with historical drilling in the near-surface South Zone.
Hole NAK25-46, located 170 metres east of NAK25-41, confirmed strong mineralisation across both sedimentary and intrusive host rocks, with grades closely tied to quartz-chalcopyrite and bornite veining typical of porphyry systems.
The newly defined high-grade corridor now extends along an emerging east-west trend, anchored by holes NAK25-41, -46, and -48. This sub-zone contains the strongest copper grades ever encountered at NAK, according to the company.
American Eagle Gold project offers “Exceptional potential”
Anthony Moreau, chief executive of American Eagle Gold, said the results underscored the potential scale and quality of the deposit. “The latest drill results at NAK highlight the exceptional potential of this large-scale copper-gold system,” he said. “High-grade mineralisation extends to depth and shows emerging continuity with surface zones, confirming the strength of our discovery. We remain focused on advancing this promising asset to unlock its full potential for our shareholders.”
With copper prices near cyclical highs and global demand for energy-transition metals rising, exploration success at NAK could prove timely. The company plans further drilling to test the open extensions of the South Zone and to refine its geological model ahead of a potential resource estimate.
