Authors’ Note:

All the entries here are made post-trade. I’ll not be posting real-time as this distracts me from what I’m doing with the markets, my job and everything else I’ve got going on. I’ll post winners and losers, but I’ll not post every single trade as sometimes they’re not worth it, but overall I’ll aim to have a good balance of trades posted. Nothing here should be taken as a recommendation to trade.

07 August GBPUSD short

It’s been a while since I posted so I thought one was long overdue. Today we’re in the black with a short on GBPUSD that I took yesterday and let run overnight. It was in the red for a few hours whilst price jumped about a bit around recent support in the 1.30000 area, but this morning it’s collapsed through and continues to sell off. It’s only a small trade at £2/point and I’ve sold half earlier on today and continued to let the rest run, so it’s going to be a nice one, somewhere around £150+ profit I’d have thought. We’re just about to fall through support at the price level shown so it’ll drop like a stone or drop, take out some stops and reverse. My current stop level is 1.2880 ish.
