If you are looking for a Canadian gold project which is virtually tailor-made for potential acquisition by a mining major, you could do worse than look at Gold Resources [TSXV:GSHR]. This Ontario gold explorer is currently in the process of opening up the Moss Lake property in Ontario and we are hoping from some very good drill results from the team there, which still has two drills operating on site.
We caught up with Goldshore CEO Brett Richards earlier this week at the Swiss Mining Institute conference. He described Moss Lake as having the potential to be Canada's pre-eminent open pit gold project. Given where the stock price is right now, this means investors could see considerable upside should he prove right.
Moss Lake has already yielded some fantastically long gold intercepts. Earlier this month Goldshore announced 2.66 g/t Au over 18.5m from 18.m from its MMMD-22-057 drill hole. Goldshore is currently turning from identifying and drilling the size of the global resource - which is considerable - to probing the higher grade sectors contained within the historical resource.
