K92 Mining [TSX:KNT] has carved out quite the reputation for itself within the fraternity of mining afficionados. It is now not uncommon at mining investment conferences to hear junior miners describing themselves as the 'next K92'. But who are K92, and why does everyone else want to aspire to be like them?
The success of K92 really hinges on the quality of its Kainantu mine in Papua New Guinea. Nobody has a bad word to say about PNG as a mining jurisdiction, and Kainantu is reckoned to be one of the prime projects in a country which is very mining friendly indeed at the moment. Kainantu is a commercially productive mine - yielding gold, copper and silver. K92 is also continuing to explore for further deposits.
