On the podcast this week we speak to Xive’s CEO Didar Bekbauov about what the Bitcoin mining sector looks like in the wake of the FTX crisis. Didar comes to the podcast with some very interesting insights into crypto mining, thanks to his experience of mining in both Kazakhstan and in the US.
We tackle some of the key issues surrounding Bitcoin mining today, including whether it is still possible to make money in this space and how investors are doing it. Also up for discussions is the contentious issue of how much energy the sector consumes and whether this is going to be sustainable in the long run.
Xive has come from relatively conservative roots in Kazakhstan in 2018 to now employ over 60 people in its operation, running more than 20,000 mining machines. It is responsible for five crypto mining farms and is creating slightly over one BTC per day in terms of output.
