This week on the podcast we welcome Dennis Higgs, President of US-listed Austin Gold Corp [NYSEAM:AUST]. Austin is a pure gold exploration play that is well-positioned to benefit from the ongoing rise in the gold price.
On the podcast we talk to Dennis about the two main projects that Austin Gold Corp is currently exploring in the US, namely Stockade Mountain in Oregon, a classic gold and silver epithermal mining system, and Lone Mountain in Nevada, which is located in one of the richest gold zones in the world. We discuss both projects, along with what Austin Gold likes to see in a new project.
Dennis tells us about the Carlin Trend, which has yielded up some of America’s most successful gold mining projects, and on which Lone Mountain sits. We also talk mining regulation, especially in Oregon, which has created an opportunity for Austin Gold, as Stockade Mountain remains underexplored as a consequence.
