This week we are talking investment trusts with an expert in the sector, Peter Hewitt, the fund manager of the Columbia Threadneedle Global Managed Portfolio Trust. We had a very interesting and wide-ranging discussion on the state of the play within the investment trusts sector, and how Peter manages the fund’s diversified portfolio of trusts.
The CT Global Managed Portfolio Trust has a growth and an income component and investors can choose to put money into either silo, depending on their objectives. They can also move money between them as those objectives change.
This podcast is a good first listen for someone who wants to learn more about investing in the UK investment trusts sector. It works well alongside our earlier podcast with Annabel Brodie-Smith of the Association of Investment Companies, which you can still listen to here.
