Sama Resources (TSXV:SME) is exploring for nickel and copper in Ivory Coast, West Africa. Its projects are located about 600km northwest of Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire. They sit on both sides of the border between Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea.
The miner went public in 2010, but is also notable in that mining legend Robert Friedland took a stake in 2017. We met with representatives of the company at the recent Swiss Mining Institute event in March, who told us the company has not had to issue a share in over four years (stock options were last granted 28 February to officers, employees and consultants). This helps to demonstrate how much value the market already places on what has been described as a "premium nickel resource."
