Despite spending the bulk of the session in positive territory, the AIM All Share had dipped into the red at our earlier than usual copy time of 3.30pm, when it sat less than a point lower at 730.04. That US inflation news is arguably giving equity investors globally cause for caution.
- Capital Metals +17%
- Seascape Energy +16%
- EnSilica +10%
- Oracle Power -32%
- Gfinity -30%
Capital Metals LON:CMET was the biggest riser just after 3pm, with shares trading a modest 17% higher on the day. The stock has been selling off for the last couple of weeks so today’s move does recover some of those losses but the gains are masked by a double digit % spread.
- Small Cap Stocks: Tavistock Investments, Capital Metals, Trafalgar Property
- Small Cap Stocks: Crism Therapeutics, Sancus Lending, Physiomics
Seascape Energy [LON:SEA] was in second place, up 16%. That award of drilling rights last month saw a resurgence of interest in the stock and volumes traded today have again been elevated.
EnSilica LON:ENSI gets the notable mention, up 10%. Shares fell last week off the back of earnings news but a release on Monday regarding a new partnership failed to gain any traction, despite higher than typical levels of trade. This may have cleared out some kind of overhang with today’s gains starting to reflect the upside here.
- EnSilica, a tiny chip designer gearing-up for big growth
- Small Cap Stocks: Verditek, CAP-XX, Ensilica
Oracle Power LON:ORCP was the biggest faller, off by 32% on the day. That’s off the back of news of a discounted fundraise with the sell-off reflecting the level of the new round. Proceeds will be used to progress current projects.
- Small Cap Stocks: Rockfire Resources, Fusion Antibodies, Oracle Power
- Small Cap Stocks: Oracle Power, Surface Transforms, Goldstone Resources
Gfinity LON:GFIN was 30% down on the day, reversing the gains seen earlier in the week off the back of news of business developments. The trading was however incredibly thin and at the time of writing the spread eclipsed the underlying move, emphasising the lack of two way interest here.
