CAP-XX LON:CPX was the best performer ahead of the end of trade, up 131%. That move comes off the back of news of three new non0exec board appointments, including Dr Graham Cooley, formerly of ITM Power LON:ITM. The strengthened management team is seen as being instrumental in fuelling further growth for the business, but it’s been a torrid ride for the share price which has lost 85% over the last year.

Crossword Cybersecurity LON:CCS was in second place, up 52% following news that it had signed a three year deal with the UK subsidiary of a global defence company. The partnership is seen as being potentially transformational.
R&Q Insurance LON:RQIH took another tumble in today’s trade, off 20%. There’s a colossal spread on this company as it appears to near the end of the road and buyers were certainly thin on the ground.
Surface Transforms LON:SCE was 18% lower having notified the market this morning of delays in its audit process. Two aspects – impairments and revenue recognition – have been called into question. Full year results are still expected to be published this month.
A notable mention for the med tech company AOTI [LON:AOTI]. They made their market debut today although pricing seemed robust with shares advancing just 4p from the 132p list price.
