London’s AIM All Share made a decent start to the day but gains proved difficult to sustain during the afternoon session, with the index closing just over one and a half points higher at 773.52.
- Genedrive +25%
- Deltic Energy +24%
- Corcel +20%
- UK Oil & Gas -26%
- Norman Broadbent -24%
Genedrive LON:GDR was 25% higher, making it the best performer by the bell. There’s no news but trade in the stock today was very brisk. One to watch?
Deltic Energy LON:DELT was up 24% on the day. There’s been no news since Monday’s announcement of the company being awarded two UKCS licenses. That didn’t elicit a share price reaction at the time but volumes have been building all week, potentially taking out some overhang.
UK Oil & Gas LON:UKOG was the worst performer, off 26%. That’s in the wake of a discounted share placing which pays down a convertible loan note. Surplus cash is being used for expanding hydrogen storage project work.
Norman Broadbent LON:NBB slipped 24% on the day. Volumes were limited and focused in the latter part of the day. Whilst this could be seen as read-across from Page Group’s numbers this morning, that stock went on to make an almost full recovery by the bell.
Corcel LON:CRCL gets the notable mention, up 20%. The company announced a collaboration agreement in Brazil earlier today, which will provide a pipeline of acquisition opportunities.
