SmallCap Round Up: Verici DX, China Nonferrous Gold, Immupharma

The AIM index has been lagging the main board all day and at our 3.30pm copy time had just dipped into the red. Wall Street started well but is already giving back gains and that appears to be rattling sentiment with the junior index down around half a point at 799.4

  • Verici DX +93%
  • China Nonferrous Gold +29%
  • Immupharma +18%
  • Scotgold Resources -64%
  • Argos Resources -17%

Verici DX [LON:VRCI] found itself with some bumper gains by 3.30pm on Monday, having added 93%. The stock has now trebled in value over the last week, following its test of all-time lows with last Wednesday’s operational update lending support, too.

China Nonferrous Gold [LON:CNG] found itself in second place, some 29% higher. Two weeks ago the company announced a resumption of production following the disruption caused by heavy snowfall earlier in the year but this is arguably the first meaningful share price reaction we have seen here. Volumes are certainly notably higher than have been seen of late

Immupharma [LON:IMM] recorded a strong day of gains, up almost 18% at 3.30pm and landing the notable mention. The company provided an update on a drug testing program this morning which received a positive response from investors, although trials are still some way off.

Scotgold Resources [LON:SGZ] was left propping up the board, some 64% offside by 3.30pm. This morning the company advised that gold grading results had declined significantly and that it risks going bust as a result. Management are scrabbling to prop up the finances, looking to secure a short term loan from a commercial partner.

Argos Resources [LON:ARG] was in second to last place, down some 17% at copy time. There is however no news here and limited order flow, which has elevated the spread significantly.
