SmallCap Stocks: Zoo Digital, Skinbiotherapeutics, Crossword Cybersecurity

*

The AIM All Share index has managed to wring out some modest gains on Tuesday, bolstered by a decent start to the day on Wall Street. Running towards the bell and the junior market was almost two points higher at 739.12

  • Zoo Digital +41%
  • Skinbiotherapeutics +28%
  • Crossword Cybersecurity +18%
  • Revolution Bars -47%
  • Good Energy -21%

Zoo Digital LON:ZOO had a stellar day in the wake of its trading update this morning which noted that the negative impact of strikes in Hollywood was now abating and order flow was recovering. The swing in sentiment was sufficient to leave the company advising that it now expects to beat revised market guidance for FY revenues, losses will be reduced and that a strong pipeline was forming. Shares were 41% higher ahead of the close.

SkinBioTherapeutics LON:SBTX was in second place as we approach the bell. Interim earnings released last week did little to cheer sentiment but volumes have been elevated since, perhaps suggesting that downside pressure has now been flushed out. Shares were up 28% going into the bell.

Crossword Cybersecurity LON:CCS gets the notable mention, adding 18% on the day after it advised the market of the launch of a new AI Cybersecurity practice. There’s clearly a growing threat posed by the power of generative AI and large language models so this is a step in the right direction, although the note lacks any potential market size data.

Revolution Bars LON:RBG was the day’s laggard, off 47% after management responded to press speculation this morning and confirmed they are exploring a range of options to improve the future prospects of the group. These include a fundraise, restructuring and partial or complete sale of the business. Trading may remain in line with expectations but this news has rattled sentiment.

And Good Energy LON:GOOD was also struggling, down 21% on the day following the release of full year results. Despite surging profits and a solid outlook, investors have been selling the stock, reversing the marked gains seen over the last week. Could this mark a good entry price level?
