Despite the volatility facing the financial markets, there is still strength in the appetite for renewable energy stocks. With a very unusual summer in terms of overall weather conditions, and another spike in natural gas prices, investors are waking up to the need for alternative sources of power. Interest in solar is approaching an all-time high.

While many companies in the space are small, and let's admit it, risky even if they are listed, an investment fund can provide exposure to this dynamic sector without having to do the stock picking yourself. In this case we also like how this fund is readily investable, has a superb share price performance, and seems to also be enjoying some solid long term momentum.
