#1. BATM increases stake in disruptive molecular diagnostics co
BATM Advanced Communications LON:BVC has this morning announced that an associate company – ADOR Diagnostics – is to benefit from a $7.5m investment, of which BATM is contributing almost half. ADOR is a molecular diagnostics company, which has technology that is seen as having the potential to truly disrupt the market. The investment is seen as having significant value creation opportunities and takes BATM’s stake in ADOR to 43.6%.

#2. AFC Energy: positive results from Hydrogen production off ammonia cracker tech
Hydrogen power play AFC Energy LON:AFC has this morning announced positive results from tests of using Ammonia cracker technology to generate hydrogen for fuel cells. This has been achieved at levels above the specified ISO requirements for purity. Critically, Ammonia is seen as being a medium for transporting hydrogen around the world before it can then be cracked down into component form.
#3. Upland Resources knocks back significant bid approach
The management of Upland Resources LON:UPL has responded to media speculation that an offer has been made for the entire share capital of the company. The 14p per share indicative offer has however been deemed as inadequate by management, which could be seen as punchy given the stock has never traded close to those levels.
