#1. Clarkson full year profits upgraded
Clarkson LON:CKN, the leading provider of integrated shipping services, has today provided an update ahead of full year results noting that they are now expected to come in ahead of current market expectations. Pre tax profits will be at least £98m and numbers will be published in early March.

#2. Quantum Blockchain: eminent quantum computing academic to consult
Quantum Blockchain LON:QBT has announced that has secured the consultancy services of the eminent quantum computing academic Dr Grover. He is recognised as a pioneer in quantum computing research and development, having authored the first quantum algorithm for database searches while he was a scientist at AT&T Bell Labs. Management note that Dr Grover’s profound knowledge of quantum computing theory and optimisation will prove essential for further refining the proprietary SHA-256 quantum version developed by the company.
#3. Essentra pre-close trading update flags falling Q4 revenues, profits still on track
Essentra LON:ESNT has issued a pre-close trading update for the full year. LFL trading revenues are expected to advance by 6.5% and although Q4 saw income decline by around 3%, pricing and proactive cost management have offset the volume decline profit impact. Full year profits are therefore expected to be in line with management expectations. Management note that they remain focused on sustaining profit margins.
