WisdomTree, the global asset manager known for its systematic and innovative investment strategies, has expanded its suite of Efficient Core strategies with the launch of the WisdomTree Eurozone Efficient Core UCITS ETF [LON:NTSZ].
The fund, which began trading today on Euronext Paris, Börse Xetra and Borsa Italiana, is due to list on the London Stock Exchange on 8 October 2025. It carries a competitive total expense ratio of 0.20% and seeks to track the WisdomTree Eurozone Efficient Core UCITS Index, offering investors a capital-efficient way to gain diversified exposure to Eurozone equities and bonds in a single ETF.
At its core, the strategy delivers 90% exposure to mid and large-cap Eurozone equities combined with 60% exposure to Eurozone government bond futures, creating a modern twist on the classic 60/40 portfolio. The structure effectively allows investors to achieve balanced market exposure with built-in leverage, freeing up capital for other asset classes such as commodities, gold or private investments.
The ETF invests the majority of its assets in Eurozone equities, while using around 10% as collateral for a systematic overlay of government bond futures with maturities spanning two to 30 years. Exposures are rebalanced quarterly to maintain the target mix.

WisdomTree’s Efficient Core concept, rooted in modern portfolio theory, argues that the most efficient risk-return trade-off can be achieved through a leveraged portfolio with the highest Sharpe ratio. In practice, this means investors can maintain broad market exposure while preserving capital flexibility — a design particularly appealing in today’s yield-sensitive environment.
Pierre Debru, Head of Research, Europe at WisdomTree, said the new ETF “reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative portfolio construction tools”. He added:
“By combining equity market exposure with capital efficiency in a single ETF, this strategy can act as a core equity replacement while freeing up capital for diversification or alternative investments. It’s a more flexible and forward-looking way to build long-term portfolios.”
The launch brings the total assets in WisdomTree’s Efficient Core range to $1.8 billion, following the success of the WisdomTree US Efficient Core UCITS ETF (NTSX) and the WisdomTree Global Efficient Core UCITS ETF (NTSG), both of which have drawn strong investor interest for their innovative design and performance profile.
Alexis Marinof, CEO for Europe at WisdomTree, said:
“Our mission is to deliver intelligent innovation that adds real value to investors’ portfolios. The Efficient Core range embodies that philosophy — offering smarter ways to capture growth, enhance diversification and build resilience. This latest addition strengthens our ability to help investors navigate evolving markets with greater precision and efficiency.”
With NTSZ, WisdomTree continues to push the boundaries of ETF innovation, offering investors a new route to access Eurozone markets with capital efficiency, strategic flexibility and cost discipline — hallmarks of the firm’s growing global franchise.
