AIM Market Roundup: Oracle Power, Active Energy, Newmark Securities

AIM Market Roundup: Oracle Power, Active Energy, Newmark Securities

The AIM All Share index continued tracking above the 800 level during Thursday’s session although gains were modest, coming in at just over a point to close at 804.48.

  • Oracle Power +67%
  • Active Energy +26%
  • Newmark Security +3%
  • Tern -25%
  • Artemis Resources -21%

Oracle Power LON:ORCP was topping the board, up 67% on the day. Riversgold – the major owner of a joint project in Australia – requested a trading halt today ahead of a news release, evidently driving material interest in Oracle as a result.

Active Energy LON:AEG was 26% higher. That move coincides with a mid-session announcement that the company’s US listing had been promoted to the OTC Integrated Disclosure Market, enhancing investor access. The spread was however wide and the gains largely reverse losses accrued in the last few days.

Newmark Security LON:NWT takes the notable mention following the publication of interim results. Shares made modest progress by mid-session but handed back some of those gains to close 3% higher. Group revenues rose with Human Capital Management sales being the standout, helped by popularity in the US market and integrations with blue-chip enterprise software providers. The company’s performance is also typically second half weighted, so there could well be more to come.

Tern LON:TERN was the biggest faller, down 25% on the day following an update this morning that it was being pursued for funds following the collapse of an investment deal. The liability has been suggested as being above £200k although Tern is seeking legal advice on the matter.

Artemis Resources [LON:ARV] was also under pressure, down 21%. That follows news that the company would cancel its AIM listing and instead focus purely on the ASX listing. Whilst investors can swap holdings to the Depositary Interest, certain tax benefits would be lost.

  1. NWT.L delivered a solid 1H. The exciting bit is it is just getting started with earnings for the 2H as confirmed in the investor meet presentation confirmed at a minimum of 11.7p EPS. Rare a company is so bullish but that was the tone of the presentation which can be watched here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjtrfqKtigQ
